EPIC Films is a boutique film production company which was established in 2012 and quickly became known as one of the most trusted production servicing & facilitation companies of the Middle East. Headed by the Irish managing partners and producers, Robbie McAree and David Murphy; who have over a decade of experience in the film industry.

We utilize assets from all over the world including post production facilities in eastern Europe and the United Kingdom. At EPIC we strive to create tailor-made solutions to increase production value and maximize the impact of your Client's film.

FEATURE FILMS

We are licensed in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi and can facilitate the capitols enhanced cash rebate for international productions. Epic Films has serviced several feature length productions in both Emirates including Dune, Last Light, Dune: Part Two, Gran Turismo, F1, Now You See Me 3 and more.

PHOTOGRAPHY

THE TEAM

At Epic Films we strive to work with the most experienced and dedicated professionals. Our Production department is headed by Irish managing partners and producers David and Robbie who oversee all projects and who have over a decade of collective experience in the film industry. With our team of both full-time and trusted freelancers, Epic Films has the ability to run several projects at any given time whilst ensuring that each and every job is carried out with absolute dedication and to the highest of standards.

Robbie McAree

Founder & Producer

Robbie is the founding partner of Epic Films and has been producing large and complicated projects for over a decade. Robbie started his film career whilst still in college studying aeronautical engineering and has since worked on several large feature films as well as having produced tourism films for the U.A.E. Leadership.

Known for: Keeping a cool head and walking into frame whilst on his mobile!

David Murphy

Partner & Head of Locations

David has been working in the film industry since 2000 after moving to Dubai from Ireland. His technical & logistical knowledge, together with his vast experience provides the team with a massive advantage.

Known for: Staying focused. He’s not a bad 1st AD either…

Amanda Confavreux

Producer

With over 25 years’ experience working and living in Dubai, Amanda is the Queen of the desert. After excelling in her producing career in her previous employment, Amanda has flown the nest and joined Epic Films to run the Abu Dhabi branch specialising in feature films. She is passionate about her work and says “It’s our way of life. We love film and this is definitely not just a job for us”.

Known for: Ensuring the craft table is well stocked!

Leyla Triandafilou

Production Coordinator

The newest and youngest member of the Epic family. Leyla enthusiastically completed an internship at Epic and was thrown into the production deep-end on Dune Part Two in Abu Dhabi. With A levels in Photography, A BTEC in Sports and huge ambitions for Film Production, Leyla is one to watch for the future.

Known for: Desert beaches!

May Flores

Office Manager

The core foundation of the office and its operations! Working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything runs how it should. May has a degree in Psychology and was the first employee of Epic Films.

Known for: Being super organised!
